SAINT PATRICK

1. The Undertones - Jimmy Jimmy (2:43) SAINT #1 2. Thin Lizzy - Whiskey In The Jar (5:34) PATRICK #1

"Welcome to Tea Time on Ellensburg Community Radio. I am your radio bloke Paul Dunn and I will be playing you weird and wonderful music that I like for the next two hours. So the day after St. Patrick's Day and you should be suitably hungover if you did it right. We are going to continue the party with an all Irish set today. So we started off with The Undertones and Jimmy Jimmy followed by Thin Lizzy and Whiskey In The Jar. Next is U2, a band you won't hear me play that often, but I always liked this theme tune to the woeful Batman Forever film. So Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me because it's silly."

3. U2 - Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me (4:44) SAINT #2 4. Imelda May - Psycho (2:28) PATRICK #2

"From 2010 that was Dubliner Imelda May with Psycho. From one Dubliner to The Dubliners and Seven Drunken Nights."

5. The Dubliners - Seven Drunken Nights (3:45) SAINT #3 6. Shane MacGowan and The Popes - She Moved Through The Fair (3:39) PATRICK #3

"As used in a 1997 Kilkenny Irish Beer advert, that was Shane MacGowan and The Popes and She Moved Through The Fair. Now to Van Morrison's sixties band, Them, and their cover of Paul Simon's song Richard Cory which in turn was based on Edwin Arlington Robinson's 1897 poem of the same title."

7. Them - Richard Cory (Alternate Version) (3:51) SAINT #4 8. The Boomtown Rats - Looking After No.1 (3:09) PATRICK #4

"That was Bob Geldolf's band The Boomtown Rats Looking After No.1. A great to look after yourself is to go to eburgradio.org and check out what other great shows are on Ellensburg Community Radio, even getting involved if you want. If nothing else you will find Something For Weekend, which coincidentally is the title of the next song by The Divine Comedy."

9. The Divine Comedy - Something For The Weekend (4:21) SAINT #5 10. The Frames - Dancer (3:23) PATRICK #5

"The Frames and Dancer. I am always amazed by the amount of punk bands that came out of Ireland, we have a few of them on tonight's show, like the next band The Outcasts who were Justa Nother Teenage Rebel."

11. The Outcasts - Justa Nother Teenage Rebel (3:16) SAINT #6 12. Therapy? - Teethgrinder (3:27) PATRICK #6

"Therapy, question mark? Nah, your alright, that was just the name of the band and the song was Teethgrinder. Next up is a solo effort from My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields that he did for the film Lost In Translation, City Girl."

13. Kevin Shields - City Girl (3:49) SAINT #7 14. Snow Patrol & Martha Wainright - Set The Fire To The Third Bar (3:24) PATRICK #7

"Snow Patrol hooking up with Martha Wainright back in the winter of 2006 for the tune Set The Fire To The Third Bar. Now to Cork lad Rory Gallagher, who loved his noir crime novels like Dashiell Hammett who had a gumshoe called The Continental Op, which is also the name of this song."

15. Rory Gallagher - Continental Op (4:37) SAINT #8 16. Rudi - Big Time (2:48) PATRICK #8

"Belfast punk band, Rudi looking for the Big Time but never quite getting there. A bit of baritone sax from Moloko, now, on Pure Pleasure Seeker."

17. Moloko - Pure Pleasure Seeker (3:26) SAINT #9 18. The Radiators From Space - Television Screen (1:53) PATRICK #9

"That was another Irish punk band, this time from Dublin and The Radiators From Space with their song Television Screen. Now to one of Ireland's most famous or is that infamous singers Sinead O'Connor. Pass that photo of the Pope, I need to do some origami."

19. Sinead O'Connor - Mandinka (3:48) SAINT #10 20. David Holmes - I Heard Wonders (4:09) PATRICK #10

"The great Belfast DJ and soundtrack composer, compiler David Holmes finally having a bash at vocals on I Heard Wonders. If you want to have a bash at something new, try doing your own show on Ellensburg Community Radio. It's great fun and not that hard, despite how I make it look. Go to eburgradio.org and follow the Get Involved links and wollap, you could be in this chair. Back to the music and here's a 45 single I bought way back in 1990, Hothouse Flowers covering Johhny Nash's I Can See Clearly Now."

21. Hothouse Flowers - I Can See Clearly Now (4:56) SAINT #11 22. The Waterboys - The Whole Of The Moon (5:00) PATRICK #11

"That was The Waterboys with their big hit The Whole Of The Moon. Here are The Chieftains version of Lefty Frizzell's 1959 country ballad The Long Black Veil, which I thought was a very old folk song, but have since found out was partly based on the legend of a mysterious veiled woman who regularly visited Rudolph Valentino's grave."

23. The Chieftains - The Long Black Veil (3:38) SAINT #12 24. Clannad - Robin (The Hooded Man) (2:53) PATRICK #12

"Clannad's theme tune to the eighties Robin of Sherwood tv show. That song was dedicated to my mate Chris, back in England. Chris you know why. Now to Ash with their sweet song about summer love, Oh Yeah."

25. Ash - Oh Yeah (4:46) SAINT #13 26. Villagers - Earthly Pleasures (4:11) PATRICK #13

"The Villagers dealing with Earthly Pleasures. Another of the Good Vibrations Belfast punk stable along with Rudi and The Undertones, here are Protex with Don't Ring Me Up."

27. Protex - Don't Ring Me Up (2:39) SAINT #14 28. Fight Like Apes - Lend Me Your Face (1:54) PATRICK #14

"That band Fight Like Apes had one of the funniest album titles in my opinion, The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner. You heard Lend Me Your Face which I have on yellow vinyl in a storage unit back in England. One day I'll get the rest of my records over here. Now from Stiff Little Fingers second album, Nobody's Heroes, here is Gotta Gettaway."

29. Stiff Little Fingers - Gotta Gettaway (3:36) SAINT #15 30. The Pogues and The Dubliners - The Irish Rover (4:09) PATRICK #15

"Of course we had to have The Irish Rover by the combined talents of The Pogues and The Dubliners. We are at the end of another Tea-Time. Well I hoped you enjoyed our little trip to the Emerald Isle and we are going to finish off with Van Morrison's Astral Weeks. Remember before next week to check out the other great shows on Ellensburg Community Radio by going to eburgradio.org. Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on." *FADE OUT*

31. Van Morrison - Astral Weeks (7:03) SAINT #16
